Tasked with a brief riddled with words like "disruptive", "unexpected", "category-bending" and "budget-challenged" for the British vodka company, we came up with a series of visual jokes using the "Three (blank) walk into a bar…" setup. We wrote a zillion of them and had a blast doing so.
I found an animator on YouTube that I felt could pull off the humor we were shooting for, and got him to help out and bring them to life. Beacon Street made us a little jingle that has slightly unique instrumentation from spot to spot. Loved by the client and people who had seen them online, a few made it broadcast. "Three Sportscasters" was aired during Monday Night Football.
After 10 years, they still get a lot of love on YouTube. And I still have unopened bottles of Three Olives that I can't give away.
