Africa Rocks is a new exhibit featuring six-unique African habitats and some of the lesser-known animals outside of the "big five" (lions, elephants, leopards, water buffalos and rhinos) that are normally associated with Africa. The word "Rocks" in the name is a nod to the different geographies featured but playfully paired with Africa to evoke the idea that it also rocks.
Playing off "Rocks" and drawing inspiration from classic '80s MTV bumpers, we created six-unique visual styles and accompanying music motifs ( "rock", "heavy metal" "hip-hop", etc.) representing each habitat.

Partnering with the music poster artist Scrojo, we developed a series of "gig posters". One for each habitat, highlighting the star animal. The poster campaign is now part of the American Print collection of the Huntington Museum of Art in Pasadena.

We collaborated with Gentleman Scholar for a series of six (:15) "bumper" spots that combined to a longer "Anthem" version.
